Mollen Foundation “Healthy Kids” Program
For the Prevention of Childhood Obesity

Mission Statement: Our goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle in children that includes fitness, nutrition and self esteem through exercise programs and nutritional education.

School programs are conducted at public, charter, and private schools where the children already attend.

The Mollen Foundation provides school based programs through partnerships with district and local school sites.  Programs are free of charge for school age children and emphasize healthy living skills through nutrition education and physical activity.  Instruction is facilitated by certified teachers and community experts through engaging interactive technology and hands on experiments and projects.  The Program supports local wellness policy goals and is aligned to National Comprehensive Health Standards and common core state standards, where applicable. The Physical Activity component follows the recommendations of the National Association for Sport and Physical Education. The Program also provides voluntary pre and post attitudinal surveys and performance indicators specific to school needs.  The program also offers voluntary participation in biometric measures including vital signs, cholesterol, glucose, body max index and body fat analysis.  Data will be reported and provided to document program success and will be made available to parents upon request.
